Tips
Setting your rod up
When threading your reel line through your rod rings on a windy day or if your eye sight is not what it used to be
A handy tip is to tie a quick loop in the end of your reel line, get 6" of thin wire
(garden wire with the plastic stripped off is good) fold it in half and thread it on the loop on your reel line.
You will find it a lot easer to thread the wire through the rings.
Instant Paste
Ground micro pellets or 4mm expanders make instant paste. Just add a little water.
Don't make too much
When making ground bait, feeder pellets, expanders or paste don't make too much.
Just look how much you throw away at the end of a session.
Saving your rod
I think we have all heard of unattended rods or poles being pulled into the water by fish
Having learnt the hard way
I always place my rod rest about 1" in front of a rod ring
at least when the rod ring hits the rod rest it gives you a chance to grab it
